Start Date: January 10, 2022
Due Date: January 31, 2022 (by end of day, Pacific Time)

A tileset consists of tiles that are designed on a uniform grid size so that the tiles all fit and work seamlessly together. In game design, for example, tiles from a tileset can be arranged and put together to form larger maps.

For this challenge, the goal is to build a tileset consisting of tiles that can be put together to create a dungeon. This will allow other creators to easily build a dungeon just by putting together the tiles.

Create a variety of different tiles. Consider the various sections to build such as straight, turns, dead ends, intersections, rooms, stairs, etc.

Uniform Grid
Each tile should have a uniform size so that all tiles fit together.

Choose a size that has plenty of room to comfortably fit a group of players.

Build your dungeon tiles with details and a variety of elements to give it character!

Lighting can have a dramatic impact on the design. Consider adding accent lighting, as well as actual light sources such as torches. Include sounds to make the fire sources sound real.

  • Design a dungeon tileset with as many of the features above as possible.

  • Include a sample dungeon that uses all the tiles in your tileset.
