Description
The goal of this Challenge is to build skyboxes which creators can quickly use in their games. The skybox, which is basically the sky, actually plays an important role in the overall graphical appearance of the game, since it affects not only the sky and lighting but all the objects in the game. A well designed skybox can make the difference between an average looking game, and a great looking game.
Designs
Design any type of skybox that you want with the fundamental goal being to make skyboxes that are useful to creators and that look good.
It may help to show your skyboxes in a terrain setting with such elements as mountains, trees, foliage, etc. Such an environment will bring out the effects of the skybox, and its effect on the scene. Be sure to give each of your skyboxes a descriptive name.
Core Editor
In the Core Editor, the main components to create a skybox and associated effects are located at:
- Art Objects: Sky (Components & Adjustment Volumes)
- Art Objects: Post Processing
These objects have many properties which can be customized to create unique skybox designs. Use as many elements as you need to create an effective overall appearance.
