Core recently introduced a fantastic new example project called Producers, Buffs and Areas. This project provides easy to use systems that handle:
- Gathering and Harvesting
- Object Loading
- Buffs and Interactions
Everything is very designer and artist friendly, and requires little or no coding. There are many use cases including farming, cooking, building, buffing, map loading, and more. You can learn more about this system at the video below:
Since the system is so new, we want to let creators know more about it. The goal of this tutorial is to teach players all about the Producers, Buffs and Areas system.
Some of the topics to consider for your tutorial are listed below.
The example project can be loaded in the Core editor by selecting Create New, and then choosing Example Projects > Producers, Buffs and Areas. Please note that there are several scenes in this project that showcase the various features. Use the Scenes tab to view and open the scenes.
Provide an overview of the Producers, Buffs and Areas system, and describe the main types of tasks it is designed to handle.
How To Use
Explain how to use the system and its various features.
How To Customize
Creators will want to know how to customize various aspects of the system for their own game.
Describe what steps are necessary to integrate this system into a game. What needs to be copied over from the example project into the game?
Publish a written and/or video tutorial on this topic to the Core forums as per the instructions in your application acceptance message.
Provide tutorial assets (models, scripts, UI, etc) in Community Content or an editable public game, and include a link within the tutorial. This allows creators to open the final project in Core.
Video tutorials must have voice overs in English.
Your work will be judged based on the Judging Criteria.
The above link also contains important information about best practices and other topics.
