Payment
Each entrant is eligible for a payment of up to $350, with a minimum of $50 if the entry meets the minimum standards. The exact payment amount for each entrant will be based on the quality of the entrant’s work.
Description
Audio Kitbashing refers to combining pre-built audio assets in the Core editor to create sounds and music for a game. For this tutorial, describe the audio kitbashing process in order to teach creators how to create custom audio for their games. The tutorial should be easy to understand for all skill levels.

Kitbashing Audio
Explain the process and techniques for combining various audio sources together, and customizing the audio.
Audio Types
Discuss the various audio types that are available in the Core audio library, such as:

Sounds
Short sound effects. -
Music & Kits
Music tracks, including customizable tracks and kits. -
Individual Notes
Individual notes from various different instruments.
Customizing Audio
Describe the various properties and adjustments available to customize the sound. Include the audio properties found on all audio components, as well as additional adjustments found on only some of the audio types.
Adding Audio
- Explain how to add the audio to the hierarchy and listen to the composition.
- Cover the Apply Effects checkbox and what it does.
- Explain the 3D properties of spatialization, attenuation, and occlusion.
- Describe the gizmos which help visualize the audio properties.
Core Context
Discuss why audio should almost always be placed in a Client Context.
Playing Audio In Game
Cover the various ways to play the audio in a game such as autoplay, play on spawn, using triggers, or using code.
Downloadable Project
Provide all the audio created in this tutorial for users to download in Community Content or an editable public game.
Requirements

Publish a written and/or video tutorial on this topic to the Core forums as per the instructions in your application acceptance message.

Provide tutorial assets (models, scripts, UI, etc) in Community Content or an editable public game, and include a link within the tutorial. This allows creators to open the final project in Core.

Video tutorials must have voice overs in English.

- Your application acceptance message includes instructions on how to publish your tutorial.
- Entrants must publish their tutorial by the deadline listed in the challenge in order to be considered for payment.
- Failure to publish your tutorial on time may affect your eligibility for future challenges.
